Caitlin R. Zapf
Caitlin Zapf attended UCSD where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Science in 2003, graduating in the top 15% of her College and Major. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco, School of Law. At USF, she was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Evidence and Corporations, “Best Brief” in the Moot Court Competition and earned a spot on the Moot Court Board. Caitlin graduated cum laude in 2007.
Caitlin is a litigator, specializing in insurance defense and insurance coverage disputes. She has defended a wide variety of general liability claims against insureds. Additionally, Caitlin’s insurance coverage practice includes research and writing opinions, reservation of rights and denial letters, advising insurance company clients regarding their obligations under property and liability policies and representing insurance company clients in coverage litigation.
Caitlin is also a business entrepreneur and has experience in transactional matters for business owners, such as drafting Shareholder Agreements, Operating Agreements, Stock Purchase Agreements, negotiating various business contracts and securing Intellectual Property rights. She is well situated to understand the needs of business owners to avoid costly and time-consuming litigation and resolve disputes as efficiently as possible.
Caitlin is admitted to practice by the California State Bar and the United States District Court, Eastern, Central and Northern Districts of California.
