Kenneth A. Remson
With more than 30 years of insurance coverage experience for both insurers and insureds, Ken Remson has handled major complex claims, including the largest private Hurricane Katrina claim, in jurisdictions across the country. Ken has experience with virtually every type of insurance and claim, including liability, business interruption, D&O, environmental, hurricane, construction defect, asbestos, EPL, sex abuse, data breach, business interruption, event coverage, aviation, care homes, and homeowner’s, among others. Ken has participated in trials, mediations, and arbitrations throughout the country and prevailed in a complex insurance appeal before the Ninth Circuit and arbitrated an insurance claim in London.
After growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ken graduated from Stanford University with an AB in Film and Broadcast and then moved on to Columbia University, where he obtained an MS in Journalism. Following a successful career in television news, Ken attended the Duke University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree with honors. While at Duke, Ken served as Editor In Chief of The Alaska Law Review before beginning his legal career as a law clerk to the Hon. Andrew J. Kleinfeld, District of Alaska / Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. During his legal career Ken handled insurance disputes at major law firms in San Francisco and Los Angeles, obtaining partnership at Anderson Kill Olick & Oshinsky. Ken also served for a time as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii in the Civil Recoveries Division.
Ken is licensed in California and Hawaii and admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, the District of Hawaii, and the Ninth Circuit.
